Job summary

U.S. Army NAF at Fort Sam Houston, TX seeks a junior analyst to perform a range of analytical duties for one or more program areas.

You will assist supervisors in administering processes and providing analytical support, determining data needs, and applying analytical methods to develop initial conclusions and recommendations. Responsibilities include data gathering from diverse sources, analyzing issues, and potentially overseeing administrative program procedures to support Army MWR

Duties

Serves as a junior analyst at the IMCOM Headquarters level performing a variety of analytical duties for one or more program areas.

Assists supervisor or senior program analyst in the administration of processes and analytical support associated with assigned program areas. Determines data required for analysis and devises appropriate methods for securing required information from sources such as reports, surveys, on-site investigations, discussions with officials, statutes, policies, plans, schedules, etc. Analyzes issues, selects and applies accepted analytical techniques. Develops initial conclusions and recommendations for problems analyzed for submission to senior analyst or supervisor.

May oversee operating procedures for a variety of administrative and/or program support functions.

Qualifications

RESUMES MUST BE TWO PAGES (OR LESS). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience performing work similar to the duties listed above. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level.

Knowledge of assigned programs, the roles they play in supporting total Army programs, and their contribution to Army MWR.

Knowledge of the basic principles, concepts, and methodologies required to perform various analytical techniques.

All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks.

Highly Qualifying Criteria

Working knowledge of Programming Army Construction Requirements on (either) the APF and NAF side, with emphasis on NAF Construction Requirements (NAF Major Construction and CPMC Minor Construction)

Experience In USACE PAX For Programming Requirements

Experience and working knowledge utilizing the Microsoft Suite of Programs (SharePoint), (PowerApps), and (Power BI)

Experience in Construction Cost Estimate analyses and escalation

Working knowledge of Acquisition Strategies such as Design-Build (DB), Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Title II Services, and AE Contract Services

  • The Duty Station for this position is located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. You will be expected to physically reside within commuting distance of Fort Sam Houston, TX.
