Summary: This position is to directly support the JPM CBRN SOF acquisitions programs cradle-to-grave, influence and shape acquisition streamlining, use DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures, and practices. Assist the Government Lead with the planning, development/refinement, initiation, and execution of new requirements, projects, procedures, and guidelines as well as assist in development, design, and implementation of annual and long-range plans to realize the product development components of strategic goals. Work is located at Stafford, VA. Off-site.

Job Description

  • Conversant with the acquisition processes and policies outlined in the DoDI 5000.02.
  • Influence and shape acquisition streamlining.
  • Leverage existing relationships and develop new contacts with Government and military policy makers.
  • Assist in development, design, and implementation of annual and long-range plans.
  • Facilitate milestone planning by preparing, reviewing, and updating technical briefing materials.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate program development, status/progress, and performance.
  • Review and assess technical, cost, and schedule data and work with Government staff.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, developing, and mitigating program risk.
  • Work at a senior Level: to stimulate customer alliances for portfolio, program, and project support, maintaining personal and organizational interactions.
  • Draft, review, coordinate, file, and update a variety of documents.
  • Assist the Government Lead with IPTs and/or participate.
  • Review and provide input to acquisition documentation in support of program milestone decisions and IPRs.
  • Track the status of action items, meeting minutes, program milestones, and monthly reports.
  • Assist in maintaining program management tools and processes.
  • Monitor/protect acquisition-sensitive material.
  • Construct and maintain a program Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Provide program information for developing policy, cost projections, and programmatic input into program documentation.
  • Translate program requirements into language for a performance specification, Statement of Work, associated Contract Data Requirements Lists for material solution solicitations and update them as necessary.
  • Review and provide comments to the material development and production contract deliverables.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain budget execution for supported programs, as directed.
  • Lead projects or tasks which involve tracking risk and providing constant status or process oversight.
  • Manage, synchronize, and track multiple, complex, and cross-functional actions independently.
  • Write, review, and staff high-level staff action papers, studies, policies, and acquisition documents.

Qualifications:

  • (2) years of experience in project management, DoD acquisition, or another related subject of comparable complexity and responsibility.
  • (2) years of comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, with specific experience in effective use of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Word.
  • (1) year of SharePoint related experience.
  • Possess working knowledge of and be fully conversant with the acquisition processes and policies as outlined in the DoDI 5000.02, relating it to product development, production, and sustainment.
  • Possess an ability to influence and shape acquisition streamlining.
  • Possess knowledge of DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences.
