The Program Analyst (Health Informatics) position is located at the Dayton VA Medical Center within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The primary purpose is to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes essential for the successful adoption and use of new technologies throughout the VHA.
This is a temporary Not to Exceed (NTE) one year appointment.

The primary purpose of this role is to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes essential for the successful adoption and use of new technologies throughout the VHA.
This is a temporary Not to Exceed (NTE) one year appointment. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria).
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: initiating, developing, and executing complex projects; using data to assess clinical or business processes; developing clinical decision-support systems; performing statistical analyses and interpreting data; improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes; consulting, advising, and educating all levels of employees.
OR,
3+ years supporting the implementation and adoption of an electronic health record (Oracle Health/Cerner/MHS Genesis Preferred) to include workflow adoption, troubleshooting and issue resolution, project management, and education.

The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-12. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-11 to GS-12.
