Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Program Analyst III to support a Navy contract in the Washington, DC area. This hybrid role requires on-site work 1-3 days per week and involves coordinating program activities, reviewing data, and preparing recommendations for government stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of Navy program management and 2+ years Navy engineering support, plus an active Secret clearance. Travel to client sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Involve planning, direction, and success of major programs and systems development efforts for Navy Submarine needs.
• Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.
• Define problems, analyze relevant data (e.g., revenues, schedule, costs), and develop solutions.
• Prepare and report findings and recommendations to the Government.
• Prepare written reports and oral presentations on findings.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Program Analyst III to support a Navy contract.

This is a hybrid position based out of Washington DC, the role will require on-site support 1-3 days a week.

As a member of this team you :

• Need to be a motivated self-starter with experience in the overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have great significance to the Navy’s Submarine needs.
• Have experience in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing information to make recommendations to the Government.
• Proficiency is required in defining the nature and extent of problems, analyzing relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, cost performance, schedule, or expenditures.
• Develop solutions to problems and prepare recommendations,
• Understand & uphold the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
• Prepare and report findings and recommendations to the Government.
• Prepare written reports and prepare oral presentations on findings etc.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Navy Program Management.
• 2+ years of experience with Navy Engineering Support.
• Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation.
• Ability to assess and update spend plans.
• Ability to develop/document/implement new processes.
• Ability to analyze program risks and develop risk assessments.
• Must be proactive, work independently, and within a team environment.
• Must be available/provide in-office coverage when the Government APMs/client is out of office- at the maximum extent possible be in the office when the Government APMs/client is out.
• Ability to travel to support client (minimal, Washington, DC, Manassas, VA, etc.)
• Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NAVSEA and/or Team Submarine experience.
• Experience or familiarity with the BYG-1 submarine combat system.
• Experience or familiarity with the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS).

Compensation Details:

80,000-100,000
