Job summary

NASA is seeking a Program Analyst 3 to support the Science and Technology Office at Marshall Space Flight Center. The role focuses on developing, managing, and optimizing project schedules in line with the NASA Schedule Management Handbook.

You will monitor program status, support PMO activities, analyze data, and develop dashboards to improve performance, with emphasis on earned value management and budget execution across diverse projects.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 7–12 years of applicable professional experience, or 5–7 years in government/aerospace.
  • Experience supporting PMO operations, project controls, or program analysis.
  • Knowledge of EVM principles and ANSI/EIA-748 guidelines.
  • Experience developing PMB and EVM analyses.
  • Familiarity with PPBE processes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra, Empower, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze program status daily to align with objectives, schedules, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Provide support to PMO in project controls, business management, and program execution.
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and maintain program data for decision-making and reporting.
  • Develop and analyze performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support PPBE budgeting and execution tracking activities.
  • Assist in implementing and improving EVM processes within programs.
  • Lead or support IBRs ensuring compliance with requirements and best practices.
  • Analyze EVM data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present program status reports and executive briefings.
