The Program Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Farm Service Agency’s mission to serve agricultural producers. This position delivers high‑quality customer service to farmers and ranchers, assisting them in understanding, applying for, and maintaining compliance within a wide variety of federal agricultural programs. The Program Analyst works in a collaborative team environment while also maintaining responsibility for assigned program areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service to farmers and ranchers, ensuring clear communication of program requirements, deadlines, and benefits.
• Assist producers in completing program applications, contracts, and supporting documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Administer and maintain assigned program responsibilities, including eligibility reviews, compliance checks, data entry, and recordkeeping.
• Interpret and apply national and state program policy at the county level, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to federal regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent service, support office workflow, and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Respond to inquiries, resolve producer concerns, and provide guidance on available FSA programs that support operational needs.
• Utilize FSA software systems and tools to enter data, process program actions, and produce required reports.
• Engage in continuous learning of evolving FSA programs and procedures to ensure up‑to‑date service and program knowledge.
• Support outreach efforts to strengthen relationships with producers and promote awareness of available FSA programs.
