Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Finance Analyst with at least five years of related experience to analyze and forecast data for program budgets in support of Special Operations Command Pacific at Camp Smith, HI. The role requires accounting/finance education, government contracting experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting for multiple contract types (FFP, CPAF, T&M)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required to obtain Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Track program financial data and perform Month-End close activities and invoicing support
• Reconcile projects/accounts and analyze monthly financial data
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and with JTR, FAR, and DSSR
• Lead detailed financial reviews with program management
• Create and maintain financial databases and generate financial reports
• Monitor expenses, process invoices, and assist in budget monitoring and record-keeping
• Coordinate with Program Management and Contracts to ensure timely deliverables to customer
• Identify issues and escalate to financial management as needed

Job description

Amentum is sourcing for a Finance Analyst, with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in finance and/or budgeting, to analyze and forecast data relating to program budgets in support of Special Operations Command Pacific at Camp Smith, HI.

You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you:

• Are a highly motivated team player who can take ownership of complex requirements;
• Have experience preparing short- and long-range budgetary projections utilizing economic forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget changes and client requirements; and
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that may include exercises, contingencies, surge operations, and OCONUS travel.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Decisively multi-task and proactively track all program level financial data
• Perform duties in support of Month-End close and invoicing process, to include reconciliation of projects/accounts, review, and analysis of monthly financial data
• Ensure compliance with both internal policies and procedures and the JTR, FAR, and DSSR.
• Capable of leading a detailed financial review with program management
• Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports as required
• Track expenses, process invoices, and assist in budget monitoring and financial record-keeping tasks.
• Work(s) with Program Management and Contracts to ensure all timely deliverables to customer
• Accurately and effectively identify/escalate issues to financial management

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPAF, T&M).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments.
• Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $135K - $165K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
