Summary
Program Aides On-Call are generalists responsible for providing educational, relational, and social experiences for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children to foster growth and development across all developmental domains. This position reports to the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may require travel to various program sites and/or home visits.
You may be assigned to different classrooms, centers, bus routes, cafeterias, or kitchens as necessary for program operations. Additionally, you will assist with daily classroom management and other duties, and may be assigned to various classrooms or centers as needed.
As frontline representatives of Save the Children, Program Aides must ensure the safety and security of children and families they contact, adhering to the organization’s core values: Accountability, Ambition, Collaboration, Creativity, and Integrity.
Given the routine contact with children, the position emphasizes preventing child abuse through awareness, good practices, and training. It involves taking positive steps to protect children, reporting concerns, responding to abuse instances, and promoting child-safeguarding training and awareness.

Minimum Qualifications
Physical requirements include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and performing activities like sitting, crawling, stooping, and lifting. Must pass background checks and health requirements. Valid driver’s license required if operating a vehicle.
Preference given to current or former Head Start/Early Head Start parents who are qualified.
