Job summary

Kheir Clinic in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a part-time Program Aide to support ADHC patients and perform light administrative duties under supervision of professional staff.   • Utilize discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Adhere to Kheir’s dress code policy (no open-toed shoes or sandals permitted).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient’s vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and weight as prescribed on IPC under the direct supervision and delegation of the RN, and immediately report any abnormal ranges or sudden changes to the RN.
  • Assist and record PT/OT maintenance program and other exercise program under the RN’s supervision.
  • Check and record food, hot water, and refrigerator temperature daily.
  • Check attendance and order meals.
  • Serve snacks and meals as scheduled and as ordered on patient’s IPC.
  • Supervise and assist patient with personal care such as ambulation, feeding, cleaning, and bathroom use.
  • Label and date, if there is an expiration date, on opened food.
  • Assist Activity Coordinator with patient’s activity.
  • Coordinate transportation services for the patient.
  • Occasionally transport patients to and from the ADHC.

MISSION

Kheir’s mission is to increase and provide access to culturally and linguistically-sensitive quality primary healthcare and human services support to the underserved and uninsured residents of Southern California.

ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY

This position provides supportive services to the ADHC patients and some administrative duties under the direction and supervision of professional staff members as assigned by the Program Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

ADHC Daily Operations

ADHC Team Membership

  • Participate in staff meetings as appropriate
  • Attend PT/OT maintenance training provided by PT/OT
  • Report behavior and mood changes of patients to medical staff if/when needed
  • Follow changed individual care plan as described on each IPC by MDT
  • Maintain cleanliness in program areas, refrigerator, food cabinet, activity hall, classrooms and restrooms
  • Assist and monitor in transfer of patient throughout the facility and onto/from vehicles
  • Keep detergent and other cleaning products in locked cabinet
  • Keep all keys in safe area

ADHC Cash Flow

  • Shop for food and supplies: submit receipts
  • Request petty cash, as needed, for basic food, supplies, etc.

Will be asked to perform other tasks as determined by professional staff via Program Director.
