Columbia University seeks an Officer of Administration for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role involves managing graduate medical education programs, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with ACGME guidelines, and developing educational strategies. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and relevant experience, with a preference for those holding a master's degree.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Department Administrator with accountability to the Vice Chair for Education/Program Director, develop and implement policies to be in compliance with ACGME/RRC guidelines such as Accreditation Data System (ADS), milestones, simulation, and others. In collaboration with the Program Director, establish annual and long-term goals for the educational programs that align with the mission of the department. Develop operational strategies, plans and programs to optimize trainee experience within the department.
Responsible for the operations and management of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Graduate Medical Education programs including a complement of 24 residents and 21 fellows (ACGME & non- ACGME).
Supervise staff in the Education Division and work to develop divisional administration to ensure they are trained, kept up-to-date and are following the requirements of their individual programs/positions.
