Job summary

Nikkiso ACD, based in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Program Accountant to provide accounting services to Project Managers and support the Accounting Department. The role emphasizes budgeting, ITC, CV/EAC analysis, and cross-functional collaboration for project profitability.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and 2+ years in POC accounting or long-term program management, with strong ERP skills and ASC 606 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field is required.
• 2+ years of POC accounting experience, or in long-term project management.
• Experience with POC / ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Strong cost accounting and margin analysis knowledge.
• ERP experience (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Encompix or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze projects' financials and budgets, including cost-to-complete (ITC), margin analysis (EAC/CV), and forecast updates.
• Develop and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with milestones, CV/EAC changes, KPIs and team structure.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on ongoing projects.
• Manage contract-related accounts: unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, customer deposits, liquidated damages and warranty revenue.
• Assist with budgeting, quarterly and monthly forecasting.
• Document processes and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
