Job summary

Kronospan is seeking a Machine Operator to perform safe and efficient operation of the Flooring (Profiling) line, including routine maintenance and software interaction. You will identify issues impacting quality or uptime and support maintenance and other operators to keep the line running.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to input, monitor, research, and track orders.
• Ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot and adjust profilers.
• Identify root cause of issues during production and document issue(s).
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work on plant (concrete) production floor and use stairs.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Bend, lift, stand, kneel, and move for extended periods.
• Dexterity to operate equipment and tools.
• Excellent attendance.
• Able to work a rotating 12-hour shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate Flooring (Profiling) line equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery and workspace.
• Understand and manipulate computer software related to line operation.
• Identify conditions affecting quality or uptime and take corrective action.
• Assist maintenance staff and other operators in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Job Description

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Machine Operator's position is to perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the safe, efficient operation of all Flooring (Profiling) line equipment. Additionally, the operator will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility. The operator will be required to understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the production line. The operator will be required to identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action. Further duties may include assisting maintenance personnel and other machine operators, when requested, in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment in order to support continuous operations on the production line.

• The ability to consistently work on plant (concrete) production floor and utilize stairs
• The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• The ability to bend, lift, stand, kneel, and move for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to utilize appropriate equipment and tools
• Excellent attendance record
• The ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift including nights, weekends and holidays
