Job summary

Stonehill College invites applications for a full-time Professor of Practice in the Environmental Science & Studies Department, to begin Fall 2027. The candidate will teach four classes per semester across undergraduate curricula, with emphasis on environmental health and environmental justice and a commitment to inclusive teaching in a liberal arts setting.

Ability to teach across environmental health, environmental justice and related topics.
Commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching and working with a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses across B.A. and B.S. curricula.
Teach four classes each semester, mix of general education and upper-level ENV majors.
Collaborate with ENV, Nursing, Health Science faculty and Stonehill Farm on health issues.
Develop a dedicated focus in Environmental Health within the department.
Mentor and advise undergraduates, including community-engaged research.
Contribute to departmental governance and curriculum development.
