Professor of Law, Associate Professor of Law, and Assistant Professor of Law Positions (Open Rank)

The University of Southern California Gould School of Law invites applications for open-rank faculty positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor of Law, for the academic year 2025-2026. USC Gould is renowned for its academic excellence, diverse student body, interdisciplinary approach, and a strong alumni network.

We seek candidates who hold a J.D. or equivalent, or a Ph.D. from an accredited institution, with demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and scholarly achievements. Candidates from all areas of legal scholarship are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, publication list, a statement of teaching and research interests, and contact information for three references.

The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. The salary ranges are approximately:

  1. $170,000 - $210,000 for Assistant Professor
  2. $200,000 - $265,000 for Associate Professor
  3. $230,000 - $400,000 for Professor

Salary offers are contingent upon various factors including experience, qualifications, and internal and external considerations.
