Job summary

The University of Minnesota's School of Kinesiology in CEHD seeks a tenure-track or tenured Assistant/Associate Professor in biomechanics and neuromotor control. Candidates will pursue research, teaching, and mentoring across undergrad/grad levels, with strong collaboration across departments and centers on a nine‑month, full‑time Minneapolis campus starting Aug 30, 2027.

Preferred candidates hold a Ph.D. in a related field, have publications in biomechanics/neuromotor control, and show

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in a field with biomechanics/neuromotor emphasis.
  • Publication and research productivity in biomechanics/neuromotor control.
  • National and international scholarly reputation in biomechanics/neuromotor control.
  • Effective teaching skills for graduate and/or undergraduate instruction.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized independent research program.
  • Secure internal and external funding for research agenda.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop curriculum in biomechanics/neuromotor control.
  • Recruit, supervise, and mentor students in biomechanics/neuromotor control.
  • Disseminate research through publications and presentations; provide service to school and university.
