Job summary

Columbia Engineering invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, starting July 1, 2027. Appointments will be made at the rank of Associate Professor without tenure, Associate Professor with tenure, or Professor with tenure, depending on qualifications.

Exceptional candidates currently at the Assistant Professor level with a strong independent research program are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in operations research, engineering, management science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or closely related area by the start date.
• Build a strong research record, contribute to educational programs, and be committed to service to the department and school.
• Encourage multi-disciplinary research and collaborations across academic units on the campus.
• Interact with faculty from multiple schools and institutes at Columbia.
