North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro seeks a visionary Graduate Director of Criminal Justice to guide Master’s and PhD programs, shape curriculum, and mentor graduate students. You will manage admissions, oversee scholarly activity, and collaborate with graduate college and university leadership to strengthen program quality.

The role emphasizes theory, research, and professional development to train future researchers, policymakers, and leaders in the justice system.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or other terminal degree in the discipline with at least four years teaching experience, and scholarly activity and service, preferably in a higher education setting.
• At least four years of teaching at the university level. In addition to the stated minimum degree/qualifications, demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly/research activities consistent with eligibility for appointment/tenure at the rank of associate professor or professor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Academic Oversight: Developing and maintaining graduate curriculum and standards.
• Student Support: Advising Master's/PhD students, guiding theses /dissertations.
• Admissions: Managing the recruitment and selection of graduate candidates.
• Faculty Liaison: Working with professors teaching graduate courses.
• Program Representation: Acting as the primary contact for graduate studies in the department.
