Job summary

Herc Rentals in Newark, NJ is looking for a Tractor Trailer Driver to transport, deliver and retrieve construction equipment while maintaining professional service and safety. You will operate CDL Class A vehicles, perform inspections, and manage paperwork with dispatch support.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of tractor trailer experience, HazMat endorsement within 120 days, a current medical card, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving within the last 3 years.
• CDL class A with tanker endorsement.
• Current medical card; HazMat endorsement within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver and retrieve construction/heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial or non-commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle inspections before/after pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain delivery paperwork for inspections and records.
• Communicate with branch manager/dispatch about schedules.
