DLZ Corporation is seeking a Professional Surveyor in Columbus, OH. The role involves performing surveying assignments with professional judgment, establishing right-of-way lines, and mapping data for engineering and construction projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying, an Ohio Professional Survey license, 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with Civil3D and Trimble equipment. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or related field.
• Ohio Professional Survey license required; license in surrounding states a plus.
• Ability to obtain ODOT Right-of-Way Designer/Reviewer Certification.
• 5+ years as a Professional Surveyor.
• Civil3D and Tremble Survey equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to visit and safely traverse construction sites; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveying assignments applying surveying principles and professional judgement.
• Work under the Survey Department Manager's supervision.
• Establish right of way lines and property boundaries from field data and public records.
• Map engineering projects and construction plans from collected data.
• Prepare and certify plats, maps, descriptions, reports, and exhibits.
• Mentor survey office and field personnel in duties.
• Work safely per the Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

DLZ Corporation currently has a Professional Surveyor position available in Columbus, OH.

What You'll Do:

• Perform surveying assignments requiring a solid grasp of surveying principles and the exercise of professional judgement.
• Perform work under supervision of the Survey Department Manager.
• Ability to establish right of way lines and property boundaries from field collected data and public records.
• Ability to use collected data to provide mapping for engineering projects and construction plans.
• Prepare and certify various types of plats, maps, descriptions, reports, and exhibits.
• Assist and mentor survey office and field personnel in the performance of their duties.
• Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying / Mapping, or another relevant field.
• Ohio Professional Survey license is required. The ability to become licensed in surrounding states is a plus.
• Have the ability to obtain ODOT Right-of Way Designer/Reviewer Certification.
• 5 or more years relevant experience as a Professional Surveyor.
• Civil3D and Tremble Survey equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements, including a validdriver's license.
