Harley-Davidson Motor Company's Product Development Center in Wauwatosa, WI is seeking a Professional Supply Management professional to support product development by executing purchasing activity, developing commodity strategies, and managing supplier performance.

The role interfaces between the supply management process and manufacturing, requiring negotiation, contract and change management, and collaboration with engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Product Development and key drivers such as Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain.
• Ability to work effectively in a group and mentor new team members.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting product development by executing purchasing activity, developing and implementing commodity strategies or managing supply chain. This position is responsible for negotiation, contract management and change management while measuring quality, cost, and delivery performance of all suppliers. Will work as an interface between the supply management process and various process areas within manufacturing.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience Requirements

Required-

• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Product Development and key business drivers such as Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain is a MUST
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and / or team and provide guidance to new team members

Preferred-

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• SAP experience
• General Engineering Blueprint/Drawing reading skills
• Experience in Project Management
• Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
