Professional Staff Nurse, OP - Endocrinology Associates (Lemoyne)

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, hourly position
  • Minimal travel expected
  • Work Schedule: Day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm / 8:00am - 4:30pm; no weekends or holidays
  • Work Location: 3 Walnut St., Lemoyne, PA 17043

Purpose: The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of care. The nurse manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes. Demonstrates commitment to the community and nursing profession.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in quality improvement efforts, identify opportunities for improvement, and support evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, physicians, and patients; handle multiple priorities; exercise good clinical judgment; and demonstrate physical stamina.
  • Apply adult learning principles in teaching patients, families, students, and staff; provide detailed education; support development of colleagues; foster open dialogue and continuous improvement.
  • Formulate patient-centered goals and care plans; triage patient situations; assist physicians; communicate effectively; document comprehensively; and promote safety, quality, and satisfaction.
  • Engage in professional development; participate in shared governance; support change; and respond to team needs.
  • Develop productive relationships; demonstrate cultural competence; maintain work-life balance; and report safety hazards.
