As an RN in this position, you will work Monday through Friday, with shifts starting as early as 5 AM and ending as late as 7 PM (or when the patient is discharged home). Both 8-hour and 10-hour shifts are available.

While on-call responsibilities are minimal, they include three weekends per year and one holiday every 2-3 years (6 AM - 4:30 PM only).

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the new Mercy Pavilion Vision Institute and Mercy Hospital Same Day Surgery (SDS). In the Pavilion, nurses assist with various eye surgeries, while in SDS, they care for patients undergoing orthopedic, gynecology, ENT, OMFS, burn, podiatry, and plastic surgeries.

If you're looking for a rewarding nursing career with growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and the chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility, apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Mentorship & Development: Guides students, graduate nurses, and new hires, fostering continuous learning and improvement. Shares research, leads journal clubs, and presents materials to support education.
  • Patient Care & Communication: Uses the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care, ensuring holistic, patient-centered care. Communicates effectively with care providers, advocating for necessary changes and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Critical Thinking & Safety: Identifies and addresses clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual concerns. Aligns daily work with professional standards to enhance patient safety, quality, and experience.
