Professional Services Technical Installer

Location: virtual (any location in the continental US)

Travel: 75% plus travel may be required

The Technical Specialist for OEM T&T Team will focus on enhancing the efficiency and quality of the installation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily reporting (project number, site, hours on-site, hours travel, etc.)
• Weekly and on-time expense submission
• Project-specific reporting in customer databases or Excel (self-audits, weekly updates, milestone reporting, etc.)
• Escalate project issues and risks by interfacing with project personnel, including customers and suppliers
• Monitor implementation in accordance with time, cost, and quality standards
• Assist engineering dispatch or customer engineer duties as needed
• Maintain access status, training records, deployment tools, and software
• Lead, supervise, and direct installation assignments
• Understand and implement safety and quality practices
• Perform hardware testing, wiring, installation, and commissioning of OEM equipment
• Read and interpret installation documentation, engineering specs, prints, and drawings
• Manage logistics and execute hardware installation across sites
• Troubleshoot using test sets like BER, OTDR, etc.
• Lead site teams ensuring proper installation and service delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience or equivalent, with proficiency in relevant systems and Telcordia certifications
• Ability to work independently and adhere to policies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces, lift at least 25 pounds, and travel as required
• Experience training and evaluating other technicians

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with TELCORDIA GR-1275 standard
