YOUR IMPACT
The Principal Consultant will be responsible for integrating the OpenText Archive Center/Core Archive to leading applications and assist customers with the proper sizing and scaling of the architecture and performing the installations, upgrades, migrations and configurations of the product. You will act as a subject matter expert recognized internally and externally on architecting the Archive Center to sustain large volumes of content from multiple sources; SAP structured and unstructured data, email, office documents, images, etc. You will apply best practices and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data to provide the customer the best solution architecture. You must exhibit a broad knowledge of all service offerings and IP packages within Open Text working with other team members to grow and extend knowledge as the product offering extends in features and settings. You have a formal network with experts outside field of expertise and can interact with senior management and/or customers on special projects. You will supervise the work of others and act independently to determine methods and procedures for special assignments.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Performing analysis, requirements definition, architecture recommendations, providing advice and guidance on the proper sizing of related archiving infrastructure.
• Delivering on the specifications, installation, testing and validating complex architecture relevant to Archive Center, Core Archive and Extended ECM and its integration points with other leading applications.
• Working on complex problems that may require research and deep knowledge of the solution and address broad design issues for future projects.
• Creating executive presentations on results specifically related to the architecture and foundation of the engagement and influencing the strategic direction of the end customer
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• 10+ years experience with SAP archiving integration using archiving products (OT Archive Server, PBS ContentLink, Commonstore for SAP, Filenet Application Connector for SAP, etc.)
• 10+ years of architecture experience with demonstrated skills in analytical problem solving environments.
• 5+ years experience with Archiving and Document Access for SAP by OpenText
• 5+ years experience with OpenText Content Suite
• 10+ years experience using Windows Server, Unix, Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Oracle) operating system
• 10+ years proficiency with databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, HANA DB)
• 5+ years proficiency with SAP Basis Administration is an advantage
• 5+ years proficiency with Java, Perl, Visual C++, Python, or other programming languages
• General knowledge of web servers, browsers and other internet applications
• General knowledge of network architecture, firewalls,network security, virtual environments, backup and high availability solutions for OS and databases
• General knowledge of archive storage (e.g., EMC Centera, Netapp Snaplock, Cloud Storage - Azure BLOB, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage)
• General knowledge of hyperscalers (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS), containerization (docker, Kubernetes)
• Good technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational and planning skills
• Bachelors or advanced degree preferably related to Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel (up to 10%). Majority of the travel will be within North America.
