Job summary

Abacus is seeking a System Engineer to develop and deploy client-centered IT solutions for financial services and healthcare clients. The role emphasizes robust, repeatable deployments and alignment with industry best practices.

Responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting servers, cloud migrations, and leading projects while occasionally visiting client sites. Travel and on-call duties are involved; evening shifts and remote work may occur.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure for clients.
• 3+ years in a system engineering role.
• Willingness to travel onsite to client offices or regionally.
• Azure-focused cloud technologies and certifications are preferred.

We are looking for a candidate that will develop and deploy client centered solutions and enhance our service catalog for clients based in the financial services & healthcare industries. With a keen interest in industry standards, best practices and emerging trends, the candidate will provide and deliver solutions that are tailored to our clients’ needs while also being robust, repeatable, and embraced throughout the organization.

Responsibilities(including, but not limited to the following):

• Handling complex technical project tasks, project issues and initial troubleshooting for clients.
• A client facing role with occasional in person visits to client sites.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of servers and networks.
• Configuration and migration of Cloud Services.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills with public cloud technologies, Azure specifically
• Minimum2-3years’ experience in a system engineering roleCertifications preferred (AI, Azure Expert, MCSE, VCP, CCP)
• MSP experience preferred
• Ability to travel onsite to our client office or regionally
