Job summary

Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools seeks a Corporation Bus Driver to operate a school bus and transport students and staff safely. The role includes pre-trip inspections, enforcing discipline, and accurate reporting of incidents.

You will communicate with the Transportation Director, maintain seating charts, and participate in all required training. CDL, PPC/Title 20 Physical, and Indiana Yellow Card are required, with drug/alcohol testing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Obtain PPC/Title 20 Physical and CDL.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Complete 3-Day Pre-Certification Bus Training Session.
• Complete 8 hours behind-the-wheel observation with a certified driver.
• Maintain Indiana Yellow Card.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus on assigned routes, transporting students and staff safely.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and enforce safety regulations.
• Maintain student discipline and seating; report incidents as required.
• Communicate with Transportation Director about changes or new passengers.
• Drive on field trips and evening events as assigned.
• Attend required training and comply with CDL policies.
