Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with complex computerized applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Kronos, Internet, Intranet, IDX, Imagecast, Medicalis Professional, Medicalis OPS, Stentor, SharePoint, Google Share, EPIC).
  • Typing and computer skills; knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and radiology procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency with Medicalis Professional – Control Center and other radiology software.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor worklists and filters within Medicalis; move exams to ensure accurate distribution for sub-specialized reading.
  • Prioritize and dispatch exams to radiologists within designated turnaround times.
  • Triage multiple physician and technologist calls across multiple lines.
  • Verify exam data (clinical information, contrast, fluoroscopy time, previous studies) using the Online Form (OLF).
  • Document all communications on individual exams and track procedures, prelims, meetings, conferences, and downtimes for radiologists.
  • Merge patient accounts, resolve exceptions, and link all pertinent studies.
  • Ensure radiologists have all required electronic paperwork, including prior reports and referral slips.
  • Monitor and respond to email, and assist with electronic viewing of prior reports.
  • Fax or call results to referring physicians as requested.
  • Assign peer reviews daily to radiologists by sub‑specialty.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and team communication; attend meetings, take minutes, and report to the team.
  • Order and stock beverages, and keep reading rooms clean and tidy.

Professional Radiology Assistant (PRA)

Base Pay Range: $18.06 - $27.09 per hour.

Job Summary

The PRA is a full‑time, regular position working Monday‑Friday, 8am‑4pm at the Kennewick Imaging Center in the Tri‑Cities, WA. The primary responsibility is to manage incoming client exams in Medicalis Professional, ensuring timely and efficient review and report dictation by radiologists. The role also provides administrative support to radiologists as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to departmental standards, personnel policies, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Show teamwork and a willingness to take on additional projects as needed.
  • Attendance is required; may rotate to other shifts and locations as needed.

Background, Medical, and Eligibility Requirements
  • Must pass a background check per RCW 43.43.830‑840 (required for work with children under 16, developmentally disabled persons, or vulnerable adults).
  • Must not be listed on the Department of Health & Human Services OIG excluded individuals list.
  • Eligible employees must pass a pre‑employment drug test, including testing for marijuana.
  • Must provide immunization or immunity to TB, MMR, varicella, hepatitisB, Tdap, and influenza; a baseline PPD TB test will be performed.
