Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Professional Project Manager – Mid Level to support oversight and management of assigned projects, including lease activity, construction trades, and facility maintenance. The role requires active Top Secret clearance and the ability to manage scope, schedule and budget across multiple stakeholders.

The candidate will develop budgets, track performance metrics, and ensure compliance with change control processes.

Qualifications

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree; 4 years of additional relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a construction, architecture, or engineering related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and industry project software packages (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Revit, Prolog).

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings at project site or offices; in person, conference calls or video teleconferences.
  • Create and update project reports on scope, schedule, budget, issues and related information.

What You Will Do:

The Professional Project Manager – Mid Level will assist the client with oversight and overall management of their assigned projects. Functional responsibilities will be that of a Project Manager with a broad based knowledge of lease activity, construction trades, and facility maintenance. Thus a PM with a facilities background will be most appropriate for this role. This position description provides a baseline of technical areas of the Professional Project Manager – Mid Level; however this list does not restrict performance requested on other related assignments. The general responsibilities of the Professional Project Manager – Mid Level are as follows, to include but not limited to:

  • Attend regular and special project meetings as required. Meetings may be at the project site or nearby offices. Meetings may be in person, conference calls or video teleconferences.

  • Create and update project reports and communications on regular schedules and as needed to support special requests. Reports/communications will include all project information related to scope, schedule, budget, issues, and other relevant information. Reports/communications may include charts and pictures.

  • Create, set-up and maintain a project filing, record keeping and documentation system. Update the various Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) that may be used on each project to include client and other government systems.

  • Provide overall project management functions to include monitoring and controlling the project and communicating across all project stakeholders, initiating the project, planning the project, executing the project and closing the project

  • Works with the client to develop annual budgets for operating and capital expenses.

  • Oversears projects, including tracking metrics and updating logs, leads meetings, user needs and schedules are met.

  • Responsible for accountability of projects, performs project tracking, adopts project management best practices, promotes customer involvement, applies lessons learned from recent projects, enforces effective change control, developing contingency planning and providing recommended solutions, exemplifies project management development and manages project priorities.

  • Manages leases for a portfolio of properties by responding to tenant needs, ensuring that administrative and building technical staff resolve problems promptly. Recommends alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning as necessary. Coordinates tenant move-ins and move-outs, and “walk-through” spaces with tenants.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED “TOP SECRET” Federal or DoD security clearance.

  • Bachelors degree; FOUR (4) years of additional relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in a construction, architecture, or engineering related field.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Industry Project software packages to include but not limited to latest versions of Microsoft Project, Primavera, Auto CADD, Revit, Prolog, etc.

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or other related field. Professional certifications preferred, e.g., Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or an active Real estate license.

  • Superior communication and organization development skills.

  • Ability to conducts full range of project and program analysis.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

  • Ability to solve complex problems involving several options in situations.

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective professional/customer relationships.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be knowledgeable of construction disciplines, to include civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering and information technology principles.

  • Broad-based understanding of project management with strong planning, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain overview of entire project while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.

  • Capable of independent decision making, possess a high degree of individual initiative, and be able to function with no supervision.

  • In-depth knowledge of US Government Secured Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction.

  • Experience with Project Management of Federal Government facilities projects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with strong leadership, project management, team building and presentation skills required.

  • Demonstrated experience in project leadership and team management.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and industry/project software packages to include but not be limited to latest versions of (PM Prolog, Newforma, Microsoft Project, Primavera, RS Means, Buzz saw or other cloud-based construction management protocols, etc.).

  • Fluent in project management principles and how to implement Project Management principles.

  • Ability to analyze all relevant project-related information and communicate project status and major issues in writing or verbally.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, interpret contract terms and conditions, working knowledge of construction project management scheduling, communication skills, intermediate computer skills and Leadership skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
