Job summary

Petco in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for our valued clients. You will bathe, dry, brush, haircut and style dogs, trim nails, clean ears, and prioritize safety and welfare while providing outstanding customer service to pet parents.

Work with modern equipment, contribute to a clean, sanitary salon, and participate in grooming team development and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience in professional pet grooming or completion of grooming program.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments; strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication with pet parents.

Responsibilities

Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
Prioritize pet safety and wellbeing; monitor for discomfort or illness and report concerns.
Interact with pet parents; provide grooming recommendations and customer service.
Educate owners on at-home grooming maintenance and products.
Maintain clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment.
Train or supervise entry-level trainees when needed.
