College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving is seeking a friendly Mover to join our team. You will be the first point of contact with clients, learn to develop rapport, and communicate the value of our services. A potential for growth and resume-building experience is highlighted throughout the role.

Qualifications

• No experience required; hands-on training provided.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid/Active Driver's License.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Be friendly and professional with clients and colleagues throughout the day.
• Present yourself as a positive representative of College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving.
• Educate clients about pricing and services before providing an estimate.
• Safely operate all equipment and vehicles at all times.
• Perform daily truck inspections and ensure necessary supplies are on board.
• Price jobs competitively and meet performance benchmarks.
• Make smart logistical decisions for loads, disposal, and routing.
• Lead by example and help train new hires.
• Prevent mistakes that could cause damage or unhappy clients.
• Check in with your supervisor for new tasks and guidance.

As a Mover for College Hunks Hauling Junk and College Hunks Moving, you are the first point of contact for clients on the job.

You will have the chance to educate clients about our exceptional services and the benefit of using us over the competition, ensuring 110% satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Go out of your way to be friendly (smile, eye contact, small‑talk) to everyone whom you come in contact with throughout the day – especially your clients.
2. Look, act and become a friendly college hunk – starting with the uniform (shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist), and continuing with your attitude (smiles and eye contact).
3. Educate clients about pricing and services and the benefit to them prior to giving an estimate, ensuring 110% satisfaction.
4. SAFELY operate at all times.
5. Make sure all daily truck inspections are performed (tire pressure, oil, equipment, etc).
6. Make sure the truck has enough receipts, safety equipment, and marketing material.
7. Price jobs aggressively, meeting and surpassing benchmarks.
8. Be able to make logistical decisions (when to dispose of, what to donate or recycle, how to best complete a job, how to package items and load a truck, how to market during downtime).
9. Lead your team by relevant examples, showing them what the core values of the company are all about.
10. Help to train new hires about the day to day operations and core values.
11. Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc.
12. Check‑in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance

Compensation: $17 to $20 + tips

Each CHHJ location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of that franchise.
