Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Hawai`i is hiring experienced Meat Cutters to join the team. This full-time hourly position involves receiving, cutting, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat products, with an emphasis on freshness and customer service.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. A comprehensive benefits package is offered and apprenticeships are required to qualify for the journeyman role. Must pass TB clearance and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must successfully pass apprentice / training apprentice program.
• Must have TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products for customers.
• Receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise meat department products.
• Order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen foods under the meat department.
• Maintain proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services.
• Operate equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.
