Job summary

Carnegie Learning is seeking a Part-Time bilingual Professional Learning Specialist to support K-12 educators with Carnegie Learning resources. The role emphasizes facilitating workshops, coaching cycles, and content development across partner schools and districts.

Ideal candidates are former teachers or instructional leaders with 3+ years of teaching experience, a Bachelor's in Education, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education.
  • 3+ years teaching experience in relevant field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in an academic setting.
  • Flexible schedule and availability during the summer and/or school year.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing teachers and/or delivering professional learning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging professional learning workshops; including initial implementation workshops, virtual workshops, and state/regional/national conference presentations.
  • Deliver intentional job-embedded professional learning; including formal coaching cycles, demonstration lesson cycles, co-teaching, lesson planning, PLC facilitation, etc.
  • Design and deliver custom professional learning workshops according to the needs of individual PL partners as demand dictates.
  • Support content development and pre/post sales activities; create correlations, curriculum, rubrics and other documents; provide Tutoring Services as desired.

Professional Learning (PL) Specialist (Part-Time) - Bilingual

What We Seek

Our Professional Learning team is looking for highly motivated current or former teachers, instructional coaches or leaders to join our team in a part-time capacity to help support professional learning initiatives.


As the PL Specialist you will facilitate professional learning for K-12 educators utilizing Carnegie Learning resources on an as-needed basis. A Carnegie PL Specialist is a Carnegie Learning product ambassador, promotes implementation fidelity, and increases teacher effectiveness in each of the schools/districts they support.


As a member of the Professional Learning team, the PL Specialist works collaboratively with many of our teams, including the internal Professional Learning Team, Regional Directors of Professional Learning, Managers of School Partnerships, and Implementation Managers to support professional learning objectives. PL Specialists may also support additional teams including PL Design, Product, Sales and Tutoring Services on content, design and PL support.


PL Specialists must successfully complete a suite of certification requirements, as prescribed by Carnegie Learning experts including shadowing and co-facilitating professional learning activities with our experts. This position is part-time and is recruiting throughout the calendar year; applicants will be contacted when the customer demand arises.


What You'll Be Responsible For

Professional Learning Facilitation


  • Deliver engaging professional learning workshops; including, but not limited to, initial implementation workshops, virtual workshops, and state/regional/national conference presentations.

Content Support


  • Develop correlations, custom curriculum, rubrics and/or other documents to support specific PL partner needs.

  • Support the sales team in pre- and post- sales environments including RFP/proposal design, pre-sales discussions, formal presentations, and supporting pilot opportunities.

  • Provide Tutoring Services to CL customers as desired/available.

NOTE: This job requires travel when supporting Professional Learning Opportunities onsite. PL Specialists have the opportunity to accept or decline opportunities based on their individual schedules and plans.


What Should Be In Your Bookbag


  • Bachelor's degree in Education

  • 3+ years teaching experience in relevant field

  • Currently residing within one of these states within the territory: Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming

  • Previous knowledge of Carnegie Learning resources is preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in an academic setting

  • Flexible schedule and availability during the summer and/or school year

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing teachers and/or delivering professional learning (preferred)

  • Understanding of school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining positive attitude in stressful situations

  • Solution-minded and detail-oriented; always looking for ways to improve efficiency, communication and the customer experience

  • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
