Job summary

Parkhill is expanding its Surveying practice in Texas and seeks a dedicated RPLS to lead projects, mentor staff, and strengthen our survey operations. This full-time role offers a salary, bi-weekly pay, and opportunities to influence how our survey group grows.

You will produce boundary, topographic, platting, and easement surveys, prepare legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with Texas law. Expect collaboration with PMs, CAD staff, and field crews, plus growth into leadership roles.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas RPLS license or comity-eligible.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in modern surveying technology and software.
  • Experience with GIS software.
  • Strong knowledge of local and federal surveying laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in land surveying.
  • Strong skills in boundary analysis and legal descriptions.
  • Proficiency with Trimble GNSS and robotic total stations.
  • Experience with platting, courthouse research, and easement documentation.
  • Ability to maintain quality control, guide workflow, and communicate clearly.
  • Preferred experience with UAVs, scanning, or land development projects.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Identify and resolve issues early to prevent delays.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and clients.
  • Guide SITs and technicians toward professional growth and licensure.
  • Reinforce consistent QA/QC standards.
  • Maintain a supportive, professional working environment.
  • Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare proposals for survey work, including scope and project details.
  • Serve as a professional representative for the company with municipal and private-sector clients.
  • Other job duties.

Responsibilities
  • What You’ll Do
