Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed surveyor who thrives in both field and office environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality surveying services across a wide range of projects.

As a PLS, you will lead and oversee survey operations, mentor junior staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and local agencies. This role is key to maintaining our reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and innovation in surveying and mapping.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and supervise field crews and office survey staff

Prepare and review boundary, topographic, ALTA / NSPS, construction staking, and as-built surveys

Oversee preparation of plats, legal descriptions, and survey documents in compliance with local, state, and federal standards

Perform quality control on field data and final deliverables

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and governmental agencies

Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations

Assist with proposal writing, budgeting, and client communication

Mentor and develop junior survey staff

Qualifications :

Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license; multi-state licensure a plus

7+ years of progressive surveying experience with leadership responsibilities

Expertise in boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA / NSPS surveys

Proficient in Trimble, GPS, Total Station, and data collectors

Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey software, and Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills
