Job summary

Austin Water is seeking a Professional Engineer to sponsor and execute large‑diameter potable water and reclaimed water pipeline projects. The role coordinates with multiple teams and departments to plan, design, bid, and construct distribution and transmission mains on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas‑licensed P.E. with eight years of engineering experience, strong project leadership, and the ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus eight (8) years of engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Designs and oversees large-diameter potable water and reclaimed water projects.
• Plans, reviews, and approves plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction.
• Coordinates with multiple teams and departments to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
