Job description

We are looking to hire a Professional Engineer II with expertise in the study, funding, design, and construction of municipal projects for public entities. In this role, you will work on various projects, including roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water, and other related infrastructure.

  • Serve as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects with moderate supervisor support.
  • Direct and/or prepare funding applications, engineering reports, calculations, construction plans, specifications, project bid documents, and administer construction contracts.
  • Communicate (verbally and written) with clients, government entities, and contractors as required to execute projects.
  • Participate in or lead project presentations, interviews, project meetings, and conferences as requested.
  • Oversee and mentor personnel assigned to projects where they are the lead engineer.
  • Execute several projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines.
  • Comply with the Moore Engineering Quality Management Plan.
  • Travel as required for project meetings, client meetings, or to construction sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer at the job location or ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • Eight+ years of experience in civil engineering preferred.
  • Familiarity with Civil3D software for design.
  • Knowledge of financing programs is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $88,320-$121,440. The range displayed reflects salaries for the position based in Colorado locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and factors such as education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. Certain positions are eligible for participation in incentive compensation programs.

The pay range for this position is $73,600-$114,356. The range displayed reflects salaries for the position based in Minnesota locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and factors such as education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. Certain positions are eligible for participation in incentive compensation programs.
