Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Professional Engineer with a Civil/Structural emphasis. The role involves performing engineering designs for estimates, submittals, and production of precast products.

The position is onsite at Dallas, TX area facilities, with opportunities to lead a small drafting team and collaborate with sales and production teams. You will review drawings, perform concrete designs, and support manufacturing improvements while ensuring adherence to the Quality Control

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer, or able to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience in concrete design / precast design preferred; other structural disciplines acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings; perform structural concrete designs.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000; proficient with MS Office.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative.
• Ability to interact with customers, managers, engineers, drafters, and other employees to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership and CAD operators to support sales and production.
• Lead and guide a small team of drafters and an engineer.
• Support installation of engineered products in assigned region.
• Work on various engineering projects supporting sales and continuous improvements in manufacturing, process, shipping, handling, and installation.
• Prepare calculations and drawings for precast products.
• Ensure products manufactured per Quality Control Program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is currently seeking a Professional Engineer with an emphasis in Civil / Structural Engineering. This position will involve performing engineering designs in support of estimates, submittal packages and production of precast products.

Job Location

• This position will be onsite at one of our facilities in Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX, or Buda, TX.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with Leadership and CAD Operators in support of sales and production
• Lead and guide a small team of drafters and an engineer
• Support installation of engineered products in assigned region
• Work on various engineering projects in support of sales as well as continuous improvements in manufacturing, process, shipping, handling, and installation
• Prepare calculations and drawings for precast products
• Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure precast products are manufactured in accordance with Oldcastle's Quality Control Program
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer, or able to obtain within a year
• Previous experience in concrete design / precast design (preferred) - other structural disciplines acceptable
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, and be able to perform structural concrete designs
• Ability to use a variety of software programs, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products, MathCAD, SAP2000
• Organization and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Ability to interact with customers, managers, engineers, drafters, and other employees to resolve engineering and management related issues
