Job summary

Modjeski and Masters in St. Louis is seeking an experienced structural bridge engineer for a full-time role. You will review designs, perform analysis, prepare project documents, and support field inspections for IDOT/MoDOT projects.

Applicants should have 5+ years of bridge design experience, a PE license, and preferably SE. Strong English communication is required; Hybrid work environment and competitive benefits are offered.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of related bridge design experience
• Valid Professional Engineer License (PE)
• SE is preferred
• Experience with IDOT or MoDOT Projects required

What You’ll Do

• Review and check structural design calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
• Correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
