Job summary

PetSuites is seeking a Professional Pet Groomer for our Pet Spa Team in a part-time role. Join a resort environment focused on safe, positive grooming experiences, client relationships, and ongoing skill growth with leadership support.

You will groom dogs, consult with clients, and promote services while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and contributing to salon goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of breed standards, coat types, and grooming techniques.
• Strong scissoring and finishing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services for dogs, including breed-specific trims.
• Conduct client consultations to understand grooming goals and expectations.
• Recommend services and products that support pet health and coat maintenance.
• Monitor pets for health concerns and communicate observations to leaders and pet parents.
• Maintain grooming equipment and a clean, safe workspace.
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after each appointment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures including safety and animal handling standards.
• Promote and engage in opportunities to grow sales to help achieve revenue targets and salon metrics.
• Attend required team meetings and trainings.
• Other grooming/salon duties as assigned by site leader

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to work in an environment that includes pet hair, loud noises, water, cleaning products, and normal pet-related messes
