As part of our team, you will collaborate with key personnel and drivers to identify needs, apply your mechanical skills, and repair trucks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as checking batteries and changing oil
• Inspect brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms
• Use tools like pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks, following safety protocols
• Diagnose malfunctions using devices like motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation and identify issues
• Replace parts, valves, bearings, and gears; repair cooling and heating systems
• Measure vehicle emissions to ensure compliance
• Verify parts conform to factory specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
• Comfort working in awkward positions or cramped spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or degree
• Experience with diagnostic computers
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
