Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider certification, required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification, required.
  • Minimum two years working experience in a health care occupation or field requiring the utilization of basic life support skills is required.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills required.
  • Current valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to meet and maintain insurability requirements as defined by the fleet automobile liability insurance carrier.
  • Ability to work with a varied population of individuals required.
  • Proficient in use of classroom equipment (computer, projector, electronic bulletin board, TV, DVD recorder) required.
  • Proficient in use of course specific training materials and equipment (medical manikins, barrier devices, external automated defibrillator) required.

Clarkson College is currently seeking a Professional Development Instructor. The course instructor will teach American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course using approved curriculum or Professional Development courses.

Required Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification, required.
