Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking an experienced Professional Development and Infection Prevention Nurse (RN required) to join our team. The role focuses on developing and implementing education programs, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the facility.

The position emphasizes on-unit evaluation, coaching, and maintaining up-to-date training aligned with CDC/OSHA and state/federal regulations, with opportunities for growth and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, rehab facility, or hospital setting.
• Six months of training in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• IV Certification required.
• Experience with state survey process, survey tags, and quality measures preferred.
• Valid RN licensure must be held.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality in-service education programs for staff.
• Evaluate quality impact of in-service programs and adjust as needed.
• Spends majority of time on nursing units to evaluate and improve care.
• Ensure facility complies with CDC, OSHA, state and federal regulations.
• Coach employees on proper nursing practices and procedures.
• Conduct house rounds and consult with RN Supervisor and Charge Nurses on education needs.
• Keep educational programs current and aligned with regulations and policies.
• Provide a conducive climate for learning and support adult learning processes.
• Help adult learners identify learning needs and effective activities.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and on-call shifts as required; assist in regulatory visits.
• Assist the DNS in ongoing training of nursing staff to maintain competencies.

Touchpoints at Chestnut is seeking an experienced Professional Development and Infection Prevention Nurse to join our team. RN required.

This role is responsible for:

• Developing and implementing quality in-service education programs for staff, as may be required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Evaluating quality impact of in-service programs, amends as required based on outcome.
• Spending a majority of time on the nursing units to evaluate and correct nursing care as needed.
• Ensuring that the facility is in compliance with current CDC, OSHA, state & federal regulations.
• Coaching employees on proper nursing practices and procedures.
• Making house rounds regularly throughout the shift and consults with RN Supervisor and Charge Nurses on education needs.
• Ensuring educational programs are current and in line with government regulations, company policies and procedures, mission and goals.
• Providing appropriate climate for learning and facilitates the adult learning process
• Assisting adult learners to identify both their learning needs and the effective learning activities required to meet clinical needs.
• Available to respond to clinical emergencies, regulatory agency visits, surveys and issues outside of normal work hours as needed; participates in on-call rotation for clinical emergencies and other clinical/facility issues.
• Assisting the DNS in on-going training of nursing staff to support clinical services and to meet and exceed established clinical competency levels; monitors and assists in the training of specialty unit personnel to maintain active competencies and/or certifications required for the specific unit.

They must have:

• At least 2 years of increased responsibility in a supervisory position in long term care and/or rehabilitation facility or hospital setting or equivalent nursing education degree program.
• Six (6) months of training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• IV Certification required.
• Experience with state survey process, survey tag numbers, and quality measures preferred.
• Valid RN licensure
