Job Overview

This role involves resolving outstanding insurance account receivables, including collection, billing activities, and communication with payors (government and commercial), clients, reimbursement vendors, and patients.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Research accounts via phone and payor websites to secure payment.
  • Verify and update insurance and demographic information for accuracy.
  • Follow-up on claim status and communicate with payors.
  • Appeal denials and determine when further review is needed.
  • Stay informed on payor guidelines and trends affecting reimbursements.
  • Report issues and suggest improvements based on account trends.
Qualifications
Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor Degree

Work Experience

Required: 1 year of related experience in hospital, clinic, or customer service roles
Preferred: Experience with EPIC system

Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in data entry and software applications.
  • Effective communication skills.
