Home Instead is hiring compassionate caregivers to support seniors in Medford and surrounding areas. You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship to help clients maintain independence at home.

The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and strong communication with clients and families; weekend availability is required and experience with dementia is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a facility or in-home care setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Hoyer lifts, bed baths, and bed-bound care.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care needs, including bathing, toileting, and incontinence support.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to pass both a criminal background check and the Oregon ORCHARDS background check.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships as a trusted companion and consistent presence in a senior's life.
• Provide expert personal care using Hoyer lifts, bed baths, and bed-bound care; assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, run errands, and provide reliable transportation.
• Promote health and safety with medication reminders and a clean, safe home environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, their families, and the Home Instead team.
• Help seniors navigate aging with dignity, compassion, and respect; Alzheimer's or dementia experience is strongly preferred.
