• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times
• Build positive, communicative relationships with parents and guardians regarding child progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
• Observe and document children's developmental milestones and behaviors
• Follow all state licensing regulations and childcare center policies and procedures
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass a background check as required by Texas childcare licensing
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, dependable, and genuinely passionate about working with young children
