Job summary

Mathnasium of Plainville is seeking a part-time instructor to teach math concepts using the Mathnasium Method both in-center and online. You will work with a team to deliver personalized instruction to students after school and on weekends.

The role emphasizes strong math skills (through Algebra I), excellent interpersonal abilities, and eagerness to learn new teaching techniques while providing a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and helping students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to be trained and participate in after-school program.
• Strong math skills through Algebra I.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center and/or online using Mathnasium Method and materials.
• Deliver individualized instruction in a group setting with team collaboration.
• Assess students’ progress and engagement during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational tools and processes.

What you will do as an instructor

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
