Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for Profee IP/Obs. Hospital Rounding Coders. Coders will be responsible for day-to-day coding tasks related to professional inpatient and observation hospital visits, ensuring accurate coding of medical records to support billing and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Profee Medical Coding.
• All coders MUST be certified through either the AAPC or AHIMA.
• Team Member must be able to work from home and be independent in their coding skills.
• Ability to work well in a remote coding team environment.
• Knowledge of Health Information Management (HIM) and Medical Terminology.
• Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Able to level evaluation and management (E/M) services and occasional bedside procedures.
• Experience with EMRs and healthcare billing systems. (ideal experience with Epic and 3M 360)
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare coding.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft programs like Teams and Outlook.
