Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Worker Storeroom for our Monticello, MS facility. The role supports machine technicians in producing high-quality paper products. Expect a hot, humid, noisy environment with dust, oil, chemicals, and other substances. Compensation starts at $24.15/hour with potential to earn up to $46.61/hour.

Rotating twelve-hour shifts include weekends and overtime as needed, in a 4-on/7-off/4-on/3-off pattern (days 7:00 am–7:00 pm, nights 7:00 pm–7:00 am).

Qualifications

• Three years or more in an industrial operation or maintenance environment, OR an associate degree in a relevant field, OR a technical certification.
• Experience using math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and able to read a tape measure.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of the work area.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, wear PPE.
• Read and follow written instructions.
• Read, understand, and communicate within the team.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance and endure up to 12 hours per day.

Georgia Pacific is hiring a Production Worker Storeroom for our Monticello, MS facility. Work is performed in a sometimes hot, cold, humid, noisy, industrial environment, and around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances.

This position pays $24.15 per hour (with the ability to earn up to $46.61 per hour).

The Production Workers will work rotating twelve-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The rotation is 4 days, 7 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, and 3 off (7:00 am to 7:00 pm days and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am nights)

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Perform tasks such as sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Three years or more of experience working in an industrial operation OR/AND maintenance environment, OR/AND an associate degree in a relevant field, OR/AND a technical certification, demonstrates specialized knowledge and skills
• Experience using math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and able to read a tape measure
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart deviceHigh School Diploma or GED
