Job summary

RTX in Lompoc, CA seeks a Production Worker S5 (Production Specialist Senior) for the SCA area to operate equipment and build hardware. This onsite, 2nd shift role requires extensive cleanroom experience, precise documentation, and the ability to work independently on advanced processes in a class 100 environment.

Candidates should have at least six years in production, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel).
• US Citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in a Safety-First work environment.
• Work in a class 100 cleanroom wearing a bunny suit under yellow lights.
• Communicate effectively with peers, leads, support teams and management.
• Handle fragile hardware and manipulate small and large parts during processing.
• Follow written procedures and work instructions meticulously.
• Document data on travelers and in the electronic database.
• Perform advanced processing of 200mm wafers (DBH Bonding, Wet Etch, Photomask, Fixturing, Metal Deposition, Surface treatment, inspection).
• Execute challenging technical assignments within the work cell.
• Multitask within the assigned work cell and cross-train to improve area efficiency.
• Experience with handling chemicals.

A Production Worker S5 (Production Specialist Senior) in the SCA (Sensor Chip Assembly) area, operates equipment and performs processes to build hardware. They are recognized as an expert within their work cell. They possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, and routinely demonstrate an ability to prioritize their work, multitask and schedule their time. They rigorously document the processes performed in electronic tracking systems and execute tasks to ensure that equipment and processes being used are in control. Highly technical work is performed without supervision, and these individuals are utilized by area leads and support teams for challenging technical assignments within their areas of expertise.

2nd Shift: 12:00pm- 8:00pm- Lompoc, CA. This is an onsite position*

What You Will Do:

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.
• Has experience in MS Office (Excel)
• US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• More than 6 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.
• Experience in DBH Bonding, Thin Film Deposition, Photolithography, Wet Etch, or other cleanroom Sensor Chip Assembly, fabrication work cells.
• Ability to multitask.
• Extensive knowledge/certifications for multiple work cells in the FPO area
• Significant experience with a WIP tracking database.
• The flexibility to work occasional, voluntary overtime on weekends to meet the factory's needs is strongly desired.

The hourly range for this role is $37.00 to $41.00. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our product
