Position Overview

GAL Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Production Worker, who will work under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager. The role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring outstanding communication skills and a strong work ethic. The candidate must operate equipment to meet safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork goals.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to understand and follow work procedures
• Adaptability to changes and directions in daily production
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to accurately measure parts
• Setting up and operating equipment to meet safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork goals
• Performing changeovers for manufacturing equipment as required
• Adapting to daily production changes and directions
• Meeting hourly and daily production targets
• Completing and passing training for forklift operation, passenger wagon handling, and die changeover
